An experimental apparatus for the drying of polymer films has been constructed, using gravimetric measurement of a sample dried in an airflow chamber. Preliminary experiments for the drying of PVAC-toluene coatings show data of good quality, notwithstanding the fluctuations caused by the airflow. Eventually, experimental data will be compared with the predictions of the Center's drying model. Also, a mass spectrometer will be added in the future to provide data for drying of multicomponent films.
