New Ambient Pressure Gravimetric Sorption Apparatus
Kenneth D. Sirower

An ambient pressure gravimetric sorption apparatus is being developed as an alternative technique for studying solubility and diffusivity of solvents in polymers. This apparatus has many potential advantages over more conventional sorption techniques that involve a quartz spring for determining the mass of a polymer in contact with a solvent. The device, which was in early development and conception last year, has been fully constructed with only a few minor problems to overcome.
