Impact of Carrier Gas Velocity on Partition and Diffusion Coefficients Determined by IGC
Heike Betz

Measurements of partition (K) and diffusion coefficients (Dp) for cyclohexane at 100°C and acetonitrile at 50°C in a 75 wt% styrene / 25 wt% ethylene interpolymer film were conducted at infinitely dilute solvent concentrations with three different linear carrier gas velocities. The results show that K decreases, while Dp increases with increasing linear gas velocity.
