Phase Equilibria and Diffusion Measurements for Solvent-Surfactant-Polymer Systems
Ida M. Balashova

The inverse gas chromatography capillary column method was used for the investigation of the partition and diffusion coefficients of polyvinyl acetate with vinyl acetate, methanol, methyl acetate, toluene, water, low and high molecular weight surfactants over a range of temperature from 40-80°C. The weight fraction infinite dilution activity coefficients for the solvents, and the Flory-Huggins interaction parameters are reported. The UNIFAC-FV model was used for the predictions of the weight fraction activity coefficients of the solvents at infinite dilution in the polymer and surfactant - polymer systems.
