Comparison of Gravametric Techniques Used for Sorption Studies
Marc Russell

The Center currently uses three different experimental gravimetric techniques for measuring diffusivity and solubility of solvents in polymers: the quartz-spring gravimetric sorption apparatus, the quartz-crystal microbalance, and the static sorption capsule. These techniques are described in detail, and the advantages and disadvantages of each are compared.
