Polymer Blends
Lourdes V. Serna and Sean Commins

Capillary column inverse gas chromatography (CCIGC) was used to measure solubility and diffusion data for binary polymer-solvent systems. Experimental results were taken for several systems using polystyrene (PS), poly(vinyl methyl ether) (PVME), 50/50 PS/PVME blend, and the solvents: benzene, toluene, ethylene glycol, isopropanol, 1-butanol, and 2- butanone. The experiments were carried out at infinite solvent dilution and in the temperature range of 75 to 1100C.
