In many cases, polymeric-based adhesives are surface deposited by the drying of a solvent solution containing the dissolved polymer adhesive. The Center has conducted extensive studies on the properties of such adhesive-containing solutions and the coating and drying processes to apply the adhesives. In many ways, these processes are related to solution processing and the formation of other types of coatings through drying operations.
