|
Solution processing refers to processes in which polymer coatings, films, foams, and other products are formed, not by melt processing, but by the utilization of polymer-solvent solutions. Key steps in these processes are formulation and the drying or removal of the solvent from the solution. A unique solution process, which the Center has investigated, is the production of membranes for gas separations involving the spinning of hollow fiber solutions into a non-solvent. | |
